Hiya again!
This morning begun with another church service at Rhydyfelin. John spoke on Acts 15, focusing on all the disagreements and discussion between the different believers. It was particularly good and in no time we were of to Sian and Meghan's house for dinner. They fed us chicken and potatoes and the veggie fixins. It was particularly good, and the conversations were amusing. For instance, Howard, the father, was telling us a story about when some of the american team stayed in their house for a night. And he asked them if they liked faggots.
Now, before you are alarmed over the potential debate at hand, Howard warned us that here in Wales faggots are a meatball dish. The team, completely unawares, didn't quite know if their answer would make them take the boot to the street. Bobby got a real kick out of that story.
Afterward we were brought back to Brian and Elizabeth's to rest before our nightly service at Gateway. We had a guest speaker who spoke on Worship which had its up and down moments. However, the whole of his message was pretty good, and it was a good encouragement for the church here in Caerphilly.
Afterward I got to play with Raf's baby, Liandro, so as you may know that was a highlight of the day. He is so cute! And Bobby is so good with him. I'm really excited for whatever future family the Lord may give us. But, anyway, now we're just hanging out at the house watching football (soccer) and playing some minecraft.
As a side note, I think I can finally understand the phrase "It wasn't my cup of tea." Because I had a cup of tea today and it really wasn't my cup of tea. At least now I know I don't like weak tea; it's pretty much me just drinking brown water. Heh.
Please be in prayer over me. We're approaching the halfway mark (this friday. wow it's been flying already!!), and I can feel my energy draining. Please be in prayer that the Lord will restore me and that I will have a restful afternoon tomorrow (we're going to the revival in Cwmbran tomorrow night - it should be interesting!). I need to keep moving onward! The Lord is doing such a good work here, and I am so excited to be here. Just pray continually for me that I might keep my focus heavenward and not be distracted by all the work to be done that I forget the goal.
Thank you for your love and support. I appreciate you all!!
Ta-ta!
