Another dose of Riley and resting! [June 10]

Hiya!

Monday began with Claire's Alpha Bible Study. About 4 of the mothers stayed (an improvement on last week's 2!), and again I got to play legos with Riley. He's 3 years old, and I am just falling in love with him. He is such a wonderful kid! This week we found an eraser in the legos and he asked me what it was. After explaining that it's used to erase mistakes you make when writing, I then followed up with a do you make mistakes, Riley? He immediately answered "no," which I thought was pretty funny. So I asked him, "Really? Do you always do what your mommy and daddy say?" He then went into mumbling and saying things that I could not possibly understand because of his accent. Then he changed the subject, and we went back to playing legos. I'm hoping he comes back next week as he's doing less and less of the mumbling and changing the subject thing. He's a very smart kid, and I'm hoping that over time he'll come to trust me a little bit more. I haven't quite figured out how to witness to him, but I'm hoping that over time we'll be able to open up a conversation about Jesus.

As normal, Monday is my Sabbath. Dottie, Jake, and Bobby picked me up from Claire's at 11:30, and they took us to go see Rhaglen Castle. Absolutely stunning. After that we went to see Tintern Abbey, which was even more beautiful. It reminded me of the Lord of the Rings when they are walking through the Mines of Moria with all the huge pillars. Below are some pictures!

We found a bath tub! Or maybe it was a giant crock-pot...either bathing or boiling!

After that we had Tea with Jake and his wife Fionn. It was simply wonderful. Fionn and I talked about weddings, engagement, the future, and all those sorts of things. It was simply wonderful. A beautiful time of rest and relaxation before the coming week. They dropped us off at Claire's at around 8:30, so Bobby and I went on a walk to talk about the different talks we will be giving this week. I am so blessed to be loved by him and be able to talk about such important things with him! He has such an incredible love and knowledge of the Gospel, and I cannot wait until we get to officially work together as husband and wife. Be in prayer for him as he is giving the talk at the assemblies this week (He and Alun go into the schools and get to present the Gospel to the children each morning. Bobby's time to talk is on Wednesday, and I am really excited for him). And be in prayer for me as I am giving an exhortation on Sunday at the Family Service about Hebrews 12:1-2. I am really excited about this opportunity to share my passion for the Scriptures, and I hope to be an encouragement to Gateway church.

Also, be in prayer for Bobby and I. Bobby is starting to feel better, but I am still feeling rather sick although it's gone from sneezing all the time to a cough. It's rather obnoxious, and I don't want this to be a hindrance to my ministry here. Pray hard. Pray fervently. "Ask and you will receive. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened for you." "The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well."

Thank you for your love and your support in our journey. I am learning so much here, and I am so excited for what is to come!
