Hiya!
So, I've been behind a few days and I apologize. I really need to start doing these every day so I don't forget what has happened! But, anyway, here are the updates!
Thursday started out a bit slow, but I had a wonderful morning with a chance to just sit and read and pray before the prayer meeting at 1. The prayer meeting went very well, and it was good to pray about the thursday night youth group and the cafe church which is happening on the 30. Please be in prayer over the cafe church. It is a time when the church has its service in a local pub as an outreach to the community.
At half 3 the children and I were picked up for Tea at Brian and Elizabeth's. We stopped by a local welsh store, and I finally found a hoodie I wanted!! It is amazing. I absolutely love it. Tea went well but we were soon rushed off to Pete and Kath's for youth group.
The pedal cart races went wonderfully, and I really got to bond with the girls. I am so thankful for all of them, and I cannot wait to get to know them more! I gave a talk on faith and I had them look up the bible passages (I'm pretty sure some of them have never read a bible in their entire lives!) on my power point. A good majority of the group were very interested and excited to be learning, but it seems about 4 or 5 are still disengaged. It's sometimes disheartening, but I can't really do anything about it. Please be in prayer that this will be a time where we can introduce the youth to their Savior and see them grow in their faith.
Also! Be in prayer that more workers will come to Gateway. Over the last few weeks we have had more and more youth come to our group! The first week we had 13, then 15, and on thursday we had 18! It is absolutely amazing, but a some of the leaders are a bit worried about the growth as they feel they don't have the workers to handle so many kids. However we are called to "pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers out into his harvest field." So, please be in prayer for that! It is so very important!
Friday morning and afternoon was full of Sports Day! I went to go support Jess and James at their events, but it was so exciting to see some of the youth. Bethen even said hello to me from afar, which was very fun for me. Charys apparently tried to yell at me from across the way, but I didn't see her. Oops.
Then it was Kid's Club which went well as always. Again, please be in prayer over Molly and a different girl named Charys. They have such a hard time with authority and have absolutely no interest in sitting and listening to the lesson (they run off to the toliet as soon as they can). This week's lesson was on Job and how to depend on God even in the hard times. It was especially good for a little girl whose Nan had just gone to the hospital that day. Be in prayer also for her family. I haven't heard much else on the situation.
After Kid's Club we headed off to PCY, and it was game night. So we went to these castle ruins which was on a rock beach - yes, a beach that has no sand and only rocks! Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any pictures of the night. It was so fun. Bobby and I wandered around before the game and got to hike up to the top of this giant clifface which looked out over the ocean. It was so pretty. Absolutely beautiful. Bobby told m this story of how those of ancient israel would drag stones into the rivers in stacks of twelve. Each stack was supposed to represent something that the Lord had done for them. He reminded me that if he could do that with all the blessings the Lord had given us, it would fill all the ocean. It was such a wonderful reminder and a great way to celebrate 6 months before our wedding day!
The game went very well too! It was pacman in the castle gardens: you can only walk along the paths. The kids would collect these pink and yellow sweeties which would be the white balls that turned the ghosts(leaders) into catchable ghosts or whatever. It was so fun. They didn't keep track of how many kids the ghosts caught, but I'm pretty sure we won. Especially since all the kids kept cheating. Ridiculous kids.

This morning was full of more rugby!!! The Lions faced off Australia at 11 this morning. I had to leave 3/4 of the way through for the Club 707 treasure hunt! The treasure hunt went well. We had about 20 kids from Energize come out for the event for a nice windy day in Wales. The Castle is absolutely beautiful! It was so fun to meander about the castle grounds taking pictures of the kids. So fun.
And now I'm at home with the Hughes and the family we go swimming with on Tuesdays. Pray for them, they have yet to be keen to join us for any of the church events.
Yet another week gone by. Only 5 weeks left. This is absolutely nuts. Thank you for your prayers and your support. I appreciate each and every one of you!! (:
Ta-Ta!
