Hiya!
Saturday began with a scavenger hunt with the young adults of the Rhydfelin church. We went to this lake called Brecon Beacons National Park. Essentially we just walked about this footpath and found these large pillars which had numbers on them. It was pretty fun, and I got to spend quite a bit of time with the women of the Rhydfelin church which was nice. Afterward we had a picnic at the lake and played on the playground with one young couple's children. It was just a wonderful time of fellowship.
After that Sarah and Paul; Tim, Sarah, and the children; and Bobby and I went on a mystery tour as just a time of rest. They took us to Ogmore castle which was so fun! There was this river that you had to cross by hopping over these rocks. It led to a pasture of horses. The castle was on the side of the river where you came in from. It was a beautiful set of ruins without any supervision, so basically Bobby and I just got to climb all over it! Great fun, really, and I am so glad we got to go.
Later that night was the end event for the G-SUS Live Bus. (This wasn't the one that Raph, Allyson, Nicola, and I planned. This was a separate event). I got to meet two fellow Americans who are also working in this area. The older has been here for 3 years and is a minister in a church in the area. The younger was his intern who is helping plan the summer camp events for later in the summer. Unfortunately only one girl showed up all night! It was wonderful to get to know Shawn (SP?) as she is a member of Bobby's church. Please be in prayer that this friday's event will go much better than saturday's! You never really know what will happen with such an event, but I hope that the church will not grow discouraged because only one youth came.
And so Saturday ends.
