love [june 30]

Hiya!

So, as my normal Sunday, we began in Rhydyfelin Methodist. We sang some wonderful songs about how the heavens declare the beauty of the Lord. It was a wonderful start to a beautiful day in Wales. It was pretty gloomy weather, sure, but I've found that even on rainy days the country here is just so wonderful. It's green and mountainous (hilly) and just all together wonderful. It was a great start to the day. We then ate with Paul and Sarah who are some of my favorite people here in Wales. I love going to their house and spending time with them. Sarah and I exchanged stories of how we met the men in our lives, we talked about their coming baby girl and we went through their wedding box! (Note to my family: I want a box full of different things from my wedding!) We also played some board games (sorry, Rhett. Paul has you beat on how many board games they have. It's a ridiculous amount. Although, he doesn't have Talisman) which was incredibly relaxing!!!

Then we had Cafe church! Now, Cafe church is a sunday night event in Gateway. They have a time of discussion and outreach to the surrounding community in a local pub. They had a number of non-churched men and women come to the discussion and such. From what I was told, it went pretty well. Pray for this time. They haven't quite figured out if it's effective or not. Bobby and I had the youth, so we talked to them about how to win at life. We talked about how to win at sports (showing up to the game, getting points, and finishing) and then talked about how the things of this world can't satisfy us. We attempted to show them the Tom Brady interview (below for anyone who wants to take a peak. I suggest you do! It's brilliant). However, the sound wasn't loud enough so Bobby re-iterarted it. We then talked through the the parable of the rich fool whose life was taken from him after a bountiful harvest and we talked about how loving God is how we win at life.

Please pray for these kids, that they will take to heart the Gospel and how to love their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Pray that the Holy Spirit might move in them to accept Christ's message and make it a part of their lives. Also pray for these churches. They do evangelism and discipleship of adults so well. But it seems they don't know how to build sturdy foundations for the kids so that when they become teenagers they are ready for a bit of solid food instead of milk. Pray that they might teach and benefit these kids well so that they are prepared for the years to come. Pray diligently. They need it so very much.

Jess and I took the girls out for Pizza Hut! It was just wonderful. I had so much fun chit chatting and talking with the girls for about two hours tonight. Such a good idea (From Ruth!!!). Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures, but I am so grateful for each and every one of them: Rosie H, Nonny, Abi, Jasmine, Katy, Rosie M, Ruth -- and for those who couldn't make it! Bethan, Nicole, and Isabel (we missed you three!). Pray for these girls, that they might become a good, solid support group. They need one another. They need good, Christian friends to help "carry one another's burdens." Pray for them that they might grow and be an encouragement to one another!!!

But, yes, tonight was absolutely fab. I am just falling in love with each of them! Ha. They were trying to convince me to buy them all plane tickets so they can be bridesmaids in my wedding. Oh they make me giggle. I so wish they could all be there for it. It would be simply lush. They too jumped on Pete and Kath's bandwagon of getting us to come back and intern for a year.

So, please, continue in prayer for Bobby and I as we sort out what is to come. God is in control. I have no reason to be anxious. But big decisions are coming, and I want us to be prepared in prayer in order to make them. So pray with us in this.

Thank you for your love and support.
