sunday sunday [June 16]

Hiya everyone!

Sunday began with worship at Rhydfelin. I shared part of my testimony which seemed to really bless the congregation. I told my story of how blessed I am to grow up in a Christian home, never really knowing a time when I didn't believe in what Christ has done for me. How blessed I am since that home was full of the Word and how precious it was to our every day lives; how faithful my mother was in teaching us what the Word of God said since a very young age! I am still blessed in knowing (most) of my ABC verses, and it is that knowledge they taught me when I was young that has stayed with me. I have a solid foundation so that I don't have to fear when trials come, because I know without any doubt that my Father who is in heaven will never leave me nor forsake me. I spoke a bit about certain trials I went through (when mom, shelle, and john all went to the hospital within the span of two years, I think it was!), but it was such a blessing to me to be able to encourage the young parents and grandparents to raise their children in light of God's truth. He tells us to teach our children as we're walking along the way and to tell them of what God has done for us!

The rest of worship went well, and Bobby and I went to sunday dinner with John and Heather. It was very good, and I actually ate the sweet potato! I am still adamant that potatoes should not be orange, but they weren't half bad. We also got to just rest and watch The Prestiege which is a good film.

We got to Gateway at 4 to help set up for the Family Service. The service went well, and I was encouraged by the good feedback I received from my message on Hebrews 12:1-2. I didn't feel very confident in how I presented it, but God got me through it and I am so grateful for his power in me!

We hung out with the kids until we had a google voice chat with my family. Everyone but Chis and Ashley were there, so it was just a wonderful time to spend with them and talk with them! I am so grateful for their love and prayers. I am so encouraged by it!

I hope everyone had a marvelous Father's Day. I know I did. And I am just so thankful that I have been blessed by such a wonderful and inspiring earthly father. However I am even more grateful that my earthly father has always pointed me to my heavenly Father who is the giver of all good gifts: including my family and the one I am going to build very soon!!!

Ta-ta!
